How members cancel, your cancellation deadline, and admin overrides.
Member cancellations
Members can cancel their own bookings from the booking site up to your cancellation deadline — the number of hours before start that you set in Booking rules.
For example, with a 4-hour deadline, a member can cancel any time up to 4 hours before their slot. After that, the slot is locked in.
Admin cancellations
From Bookings, you (or permitted staff) can cancel any booking at any time — including after the member's deadline has passed. Use this for genuine exceptions.
What happens on cancellation
- The slot is freed and becomes bookable again immediately.
- The booking is marked cancelled (it stays in your records, not deleted).
Tip: If members frequently cancel last-minute, tighten the cancellation deadline; if they complain it's too strict, loosen it. It's a single setting you can tune any time.
